Surprise

October 19, 2019

Today was magical! We started the day meeting Olly’s feeding goals, pooping like a champ, minimal wound discharge or pain, and a happy disposition for Olly.

Some family time was needed for Mara and a break for mom and dad was just what the drs ordered! Our wonderful friends from church looked after Olly for a bit while we visited the mermaids at Sealife aquarium at Mall of America this morning (as well as build a bear).

Upon our return the doctors and nurses were in agreement and told us we would get to go home tonight. We met with the home care nurse who introduced Olly to her new robot friend “infinity” (feeding pump). At about 630pm we were ready to leave and headed home.

The bedroom shuffle at home then ensued (moved Olly’s room upstairs and the office downstairs).

We feel beyond blessed for all your love, support, encouragement, kind words, countless meals, lawn mowing, dog watching, lasagna making, laundry folding, pizza family night, and the list goes on. We couldn’t have done this without our village. God is so good, all the time! 💕
